(Journal of Agricultural Sciences), a monthly scientific journal, the organ of the V. I. Lenin All-Union Academy of Agricultural Sciences (awarded the Order of Lenin). The journal is mainly intended for workers at scientific research and experimental institutions, teachers at agricultural institutions of higher education and technicums, and agricultural specialists. It was founded in 1956. The journal illuminates problems of agriculture, the application of chemistry to agriculture, plant growing and selection, agriculture and forest improvement, hydrotechnics and land reclamation, livestock raising and veterinary medicine, mechanization and electrification of the agricultural sector of the economy, cultivation of orchards, forestry, economics and organization, and methods of research. The average printing in 1971 was 9,500 copies.
