real-time video

real-time video

The transmission of live video. It implies that there is no delay at the receiving side, or at most, imperceptible delays. Although a video broadcast that is streamed live may be considered real-time video, there is an intentional, buffered delay at the receiving end. True real-time video capability is required in a two-way video calling or videoconferencing session.
