Takob

an urban-type settlement in the Tadzhik SSR under the jurisdiction of the Oktiabr’skii raion soviet of the city of Dushanbe. It is situated in a ravine on the southern slopes of the Gissar Range, 44 km north of Dushanbe. Fluorite is mined in the area, and the settlement has an ore-enrichment plant.
