Tidikelt

a group of oases in the Algerian Sahara; situated in the wilaya of Oasis, south of the Plateau du Tademai’t. Population, 24,500 (1966), 10 percent of which is nomadic. The main oases are Aoulef and In Salan. Principal crops are dates (approximately 250,000 trees), grains, and vegetables.
