Sernur

an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Sernur Raion, Mari ASSR; located 89 km northeast of the city of Ioshkar-Ola. Sernur is a highway junction. The city has a peat-processing enterprise, a butter and cheese factory, a meatpacking plant, a brewery, and a flax processing mill.
