Rule 254 Rule 254A section of the Securities Act of 1933 governing solicitations of interest in a new issue. Among other provisions, the rule allows companies to advertise a potential new issue via written communications or over radio or television, provided it is made clear that the advertisement is only a solicitation of interest and not an offering.
