Rebrov, Ivan Ivanovich
(also Robrov). Date of birth unknown; died 1666. Russian explorer and arctic navigator. A Tobol’sk Cossack.
In 1633–36, Rebrov, leading a detachment of sluzhilye liudi (military service class) and accompanied by I. Perfil’ev at the head of another detachment, journeyed down the Lena River and then voyaged by sea to the mouths of the Olenek, lana, and Indigirka rivers. Rebrov subsequently made numerous voyages by sea from the mouth of the Lena River to the Olenek River.
