obliterating endophlebitis of small hepatic vein radicles, described in Jamaican children, associated with ingestion of toxic plant substances in bush tea; causes ascites, which may progress to cirrhosis. Also seen in association with induction chemotherapy in patients who had transplantation of bone marrow.
