Snezhnogorsk

an urban-type settlement in Krasnoiarsk Krai, RSFSR, under the jurisdiction of the Noril’sk city soviet. Snezhnogorsk is located on the Khantaika River (a tributary of the Enisei), 140 km south of Noril’sk. The settlement arose in 1964 in connection with the construction of the Ust’Khantaika Hydroelectric Power Plant.
