Ruminococcus

(rū'mi-nō-kok'us), A genus of anaerobic, gram-positive coccobacilli isolated from the respiratory tract of humans and the intestinal tract of humans and animals. The type species is Ruminococcus productus, formerly Peptostreptococcus productus.
