Vorozhba

a city (urban-type settlement until 1959) in Belopol’e Raion, Sumy Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Located on the Vir River in the Dnieper basin; a railroad junction. Population, 10,600 (1969). The city has railroad transport enterprises, a metal structural-components plant, and a meat combine. Vorozhba was founded in 1672.
