waiting-list admission waiting-list admission A type of inpatient or day-case admission to hospital in the UK which occurs when a patient whose name was on an inpatient or day-case waiting list for the specialty is admitted to that specialty as planned. Waiting-list admissions cover all patients whose names were on a true waiting list, a deferred-admission waiting list or a planned-repeat-admission waiting list for the specialty, and who are admitted as planned. |
