(Standards and Quality), a monthly scientific and technical journal; organ of the USSR State Committee for Standards. Published in Moscow since 1927, the journal was called Vestnik standartizatsii (Standardization Bulletin) in the years 1927–41 and Standartizatsiia (Standardization) from 1952 to 1965; its present name dates from 1966. It was not published from 1941 to 1952.

Standarty i kachestvo publishes material on the development and introduction of systems for increasing the quality of production through standardization, on the standardization and unification of manufactured products, and on the introduction of standards of different categories. The journal also focuses on the work of departments concerned with standardization and the observance of norms and publishes explanations of important standards, methods, and provisions. Circulation, 36,500 (1975). A monthly supplement, Nadezhnost’ i kontrol’ kachestva (Reliability and Quality Control), has been published since 1969.
