(ˈtælɪˌrændˈpɛrɪɡɔː; French talɛrɑ̃periɡɔr) n (Biography) Charles Maurice (ʃarl mɔris). 1754–1838, French statesman; foreign minister (1797–1807; 1814–15). He secretly negotiated with the Allies against Napoleon I from 1808 and was France's representative at the Congress of Vienna (1815)
