a body validated by the FINANCIAL SERVICES ACT 1986 as meeting the regulatory requirements of the Act in respect of dealings in financial securities and commodities.

a body, such as the STOCK EXCHANGE, that provides an organized framework for dealings in financial assets or securities, including monitoring and reporting completed transactions and providing for settlement and delivery through an appropriate clearing system. Only investment exchanges that meet the regulatory requirements of the FINANCIAL SERVICES ACT 1986 are recognized for this purpose.
