Privolzhsk

a city (since 1938) in Furmanov Raion, Ivanovo Oblast, RSFSR. Located on the Shacha River (a tributary of the Volga), 20 km from Furmanov. Population, 20,000 (1974). The city has the Iakovlevskoe Flax Combine and jewelry and asphalt plants. An evening textile technicum is in Privolzhsk.
