Sunshine Trade Sunshine TradeA trade involving a large number or volume of securities that is publicized to the market before the order for the trade is formally made. Sunshine trades exist to reduce volatility in the market; that is, if the trade is likely to drive the price for the security up or down, the sunshine trade can help the market price in relevant information and thereby avoid wild price swings.
