Ventilated facade Ventilated facadeA special type of curtain wall consisting of two glazed facades separated by a gap through which ambient air is allowed to flow. The flow of air removes a large amount of solar heat gain that would ordinarily enter the building, resulting in a reduction in space cooling needs and energy consumption. Also known as double facades, double-skin facades, and ventilated cavity curtain walls. |
