Supachai Panitchpakdi

A Thai economist and politician. He served as Deputy Minister of Finance in the late 1980s and Deputy Prime Minister from 1992 to 1995. In 1999, he became Director General of the World Trade Organization. In 2003, he became the head of the UN Conference on Trade and Development. He was born in 1946.
