or Pen·tel·i·kon P5185850 (pĕn-tĕl′ĭ-kŏn′, pĕn′tĕ-lē-kôn′) A mountain, about 1,119 m (3,670 ft) high, of east-central Greece northeast of Athens. White marble quarried here was used for many of the buildings of ancient Athens.
