Towuti

a lake in Indonesia; the largest lake on the island of Sulawesi. Lying 293 m above sea level, Lake Towuti has an area of approximately 600 sq km and a maximum depth of 203 m. Its basin is of tectonic origin, and the lake is surrounded by mountains. Lake Towuti drains into the Gulf of Bone. The city of Larona is situated on the western shore.
