Tikhvin Ridge

an upland in the southeastern part of Leningrad Oblast, RSFSR. Maximum elevation, 280 m. Deposits of bauxites, fireclays, and glass sands are associated with the Carboniferous deposits that form the base of the Tikhvin Ridge. The upland is covered with coniferous forests; some of the land is under cultivation.
