an urban-type settlement in the Noemberian Raion of the Armenian SSR, located in the north of the republic, on the Debed River (in the Kura basin). It is a railroad station on the Tbilisi-Leninakan line. Population in 1968, 2,400. There is a cannery, which primarily processes fruits.
