Sette-Daban

a mountain range in the Yakut ASSR. The Sette-Daban Range extends for 650 km in a meridional direction, bordering on the Dzhugdzhur and Stanovoi mountains in the south and the end of the Verkhoiansk Range in the north. The mountains reach more than 2,000 m in elevation. They are composed of limestones and sandstones from the Lower Paleozoic; the eastern slope is composed of Permian sandstones cut by granites. Hardwood forests cover the slopes; at elevations above 1,000 m there are procumbent cedar thickets and mountain tundra.
