Peralta Barnuevo, Pedro de

(pā`ththā pāräl`tä bärnwā`vō), 1664–1743, Peruvian writer. Although his major literary interests were drama and poetry, he also wrote on astronomy, mathematics, and history. His play La rodoguna (1710) shows the influence of CorneilleCorneille, Pierre
