Vasilii Ivanovich Viskovatov
Viskovatov, Vasilii Ivanovich
Born Dec. 26, 1779 (Jan. 6, 1780), in St. Petersburg; died there Oct. 8 (20), 1812. Russian mathematician. Member of the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences (1803).
Viskovatov taught at military and technical schools. His major works are devoted to analysis and the calculus of variations.
