Viktor Grigorevich Kuzkin

Kuz’kin, Viktor Grigor’evich

 

Born July 6, 1940, in Moscow. Soviet athlete; hockey player. Honored Master of Sports (1963); officer in the Soviet Army. Member of the CPSU since 1966.

Kuz’kin has won championships a number of times in the USSR (1961, 1963–66, 1968, 1970–73), in world competitions (1963–69, 1971), in European competitions (1963–69), and in the Olympics (1964, 1968, 1972). He has played on the team of the Central Sports Club of the Army, which won the USSR Cup in 1961 and in 1966–69 and the European Championship in ice hockey in 1969–72. He has been a member of the USSR national team since 1962. Kuz’kin has been awarded two orders and several medals.
