Viktor Ivanovich Kuznetsov

Kuznetsov, Viktor Ivanovich

 

Born Apr. 14 (27), 1913, in Moscow. Soviet scientist in applied mechanics and automatic control; academician of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1968; corresponding member, 1958). Member of the CPSU since 1942.

Kuznetsov graduated from the Leningrad Industrial (now Polytechnic) Institute in 1938. He made theoretical contributions and developed a number of unique instruments and systems. He received the State Prize of the USSR in 1943 and 1946 and was awarded two Orders of Lenin, the Order of the October Revolution, the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, and medals.
