Perevoz

an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Perevoz Raion, Gorky Oblast, RSFSR. Located in the P’iana River valley (Volga River basin), Perevoz has a railroad station (Perevozskaia) on the Moscow-Kazan’ line, 120 km southeast of Gorky. It also has a flax-spinning and weaving mill, a vegetable-drying plant, and an enterprise that manufactures household electrical appliances. A construction technicum is in the settlement.
