Tangku

a city in China, on the Hai Ho near the point where the river empties into the Gulf of Chihli (Pohaiwan) of the Yellow Sea. Administratively, T’angku is part of the city of Tientsin. Its seaport is part of Hsinkang, the outer harbor of Tientsin. T’angku has a sodium carbonate combine (supplied by enterprises extracting sea salt) and ship-repair enterprises. It also has a fishing industry.
