Rybnitsa

a city (since 1938) under republic jurisdiction in the Moldavian ASSR. Landing on the Dnestr River. Railroad station on the Slobodka-Bel’tsy-Slobodzeia line. Population, 39,900 (1975). Rybnitsa has a sugar and alcohol combine, a winery, a bakery, and a cement and slate combine, as well as plants producing reinforced-concrete and other structural components and pumps. The city also has a creamery and a factory producing knitwear and undergarments.
