Taniurer

a river in Magadan Oblast, RSFSR; a left tributary of the Anadyr’ River. The Taniurer is 482 km long and drains an area of 18,500 sq km. It rises in the Pekul’nei mountain range. The upper Taniurer is a mountain river. In its lower course, the river flows mainly through the Anadyr’ Lowland, where it breaks up into branches. The basin of the Taniurer has numerous small lakes, covering 2.5 percent of the area. The river is fed by rain and snow. It freezes in November and opens up in late May or early June. The lower Taniurer is navigable.
