Severnaia Mylva

a river in the Komi ASSR; a left tributary of the Pechora River. Measuring 213 km long, it drains an area of 5,970 sq km. It is fed predominantly by snow. The average flow rate 20 km from the mouth is 29.5 cu m per sec. The Severnaia Mylva freezes in late October or November, and the ice breaks up in late April or May. Timber is floated on the river.
