Its economy centers around computer software (Microsoft Corp. is located there); research and development industries; and diverse manufacturing, including computers, semiconductors, printed circuit boards, sporting goods, lighting equipment, building products, machinery, furniture, medical instruments, clothing, and aerospace parts.
