Uzola Usola

a river in Gorky Oblast, RSFSR; a left tributary of the Volga River. The Uzola is 147 km long and drains an area of 1,920 sq km. It flows along the western edge of the Volga-Vetluga Lowland. The river is fed mainly by snow. It freezes in November, and the ice breaks up in April. The Uzola is used for timber flotation.
