superlattice[¦sü·pər′lad·əs] (electronics) A structure consisting of alternating layers of two different semiconductor materials, each several nanometers thick. (solid-state physics) An ordered arrangement of atoms in a solid solution which forms a lattice superimposed on the normal solid solution lattice.
