S0527500 (sō-sī′nəs), Faustus Originally Fausto Paolo Sozzini. 1539-1604. Italian theologian who based his anti-Trinitarian teachings on the doctrine formulated by his uncle Laelius Socinus (1525-1562). Their system of Socinianism greatly influenced the development of Unitarian theology.
