Generally, it includes medical consultation as needed; periodontal procedures to be performed; consideration of interdisciplinary treatment; reevaluation schedule; chemotherapeutic agent adjunctive treatment; genetic, microbiologic, and biochemical testing; and a periodontal maintenance program.
