释义 | Sabin, FlorenceSabin, Florence (Rena)(1871–1953) physician, medical researcher; born in Central City, Colo. She is best known for her spirited, devoted teaching and for research on blood cells and the lymphatics. The first woman to join the Johns Hopkins University medical faculty (1902), she was also the first woman to be named full professor (1917), the first female president of the American Association of Anatomists (1924), and the first woman elected to the National Academy of Sciences (1925). |
