Automatic Casting Machine
Automatic Casting Machine
a machine designed to perform a predetermined engineering operation or sequence of operations in the foundry industry according to a fixed program. Automatic casting machines make possible an increase in labor productivity and the maintenance of high quality of output. Automatic casting machines have been designed for the production and regeneration of core sand and molding sand mixes, for the production of molds and cores, pouring of molten metals into molds, and knockout and cleaning of castings. Automatic casting machines are widely used in the production of castings of nonferrous alloys by pressure-die casting. They are most commonly used in large foundries for mass production.
