Programmer's Switch

(hardware)A button on the front of some Apple Macintoshcomputers which, when pressed, causes a command line prompt toappear. This gives access to the built-in mini-debugger,which has commands to dump memory, return to the applicationthat was broken out, and others. A more sophisticateddebugger must be installed in order to inspect breakpoints,etc.

Programmer's Switch

The physical buttons included with the Macintosh (fkey on the LC) that include a System Reset button and a Debugging button that will invoke MacsBug if present or switch to the built in monitor in ROM.
