Volniansk

a city (until 1966, an urban-type settlement); center of Vol’niansk Raion, Zaporozhye Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, 26 km northeast of Zaporozhye. Railroad station (Sofievka) on the Moscow-Sevastopol’ line. Population, 11,800 (1969). Vol’niansk has plants producing tableware and plastic articles, as well as a creamery.
