an urban-type settlement in Smidovich Raion, Jewish Autonomous Oblast, Khabarovsk Krai, RSFSR. Railroad station 45 km west of Khabarovsk. Population, 2,200 (1968). Volochaevka Vtoraia sprang up in 1936-38 in connection with the construction of the railroad line to Komsomol’sk-na-Amure. It has railroad transport enterprises, a milk plant, and furniture production. A memorial complex commemorating the Volochaevka battles has been erected 9 km from the settlement.
