Location:East-central Washington.
Special Features:Saddle Mountain NWR is a unit of Hanford Reach National Monument. The Monument/Refuge is the first of its kind under U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service management within the lower 48 states and managed as a unit of the National Wildlife Refuge System.
Habitats: 195,000 acres of shrub upland, a 730-acre lake, and riparian lands along the Columbia River.
Access: Closed to general public access. Use is limited to approved ecological research and environmental education activities.
Wild life: Loggerhead shrike, burrowing owl, Canada gees, ducks eagles, and northern grasshopper mouse.
