Sadovodstvo

(Horticulture), a monthly journal of the Ministry of Agriculture of the USSR. Sadovodstvo was founded in 1838 in Moscow by the Russian Society of Amateur Horticulturists. It has been published under various titles; it received its present name in 1960. The journal is intended for horticulture specialists at sovkhozes, kolkhozes, and state crop-testing stations; for workers at research institutions; and for amateur horticulturists. It deals with the development of horticulture and viticulture, achievements of science, and progressive experiments at sovkhozes and kolkhozes. Circulation, 220,000 (1975).
