Location:Near the confluence of the Trempealeau and Mississippi Rivers in southwest Wisconsin.
Facilities:95 campsites (44 with electrical hookups), showers, outdoor group camp (50 sites), picnic areas, hiking trails (13 miles), mountain bike trails, ski trails, nature center, scenic vista, boat launch.
Activities:Camping, boating, canoeing, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, naturalist programs (seasonal).
Special Features:Early inhabitants include the ancient Indian cultures of archaic, early woodland and effigy mound builders. Mounds from the Hopewell culture have been identified.
