Safety Cove State Marine Park
Location:Along the west side of Day Harbor, east of Resurrection Bay, a 28-mile boat ride from Seward.
Facilities:Undeveloped.
Activities:Primitive beach camping, boating, fishing.
Special Features:Park features the marine environment of the cove, an upland forest ofspruce, hemlock, and alder, and a three-acre freshwater lake. It alsooffers excellent views of Ellsworth Glacier, an arm of the SargentIcefield, near the cove's entrance.
