Promised Land State Park
Location:10 miles north of Canadensis in Pike County, in the northeast corner of the state.
Facilities:More than 900 campsites (many with electricity), 12 rustic cabins, showers, flush and pit toilets, picnic areas, picnic pavilions, snack bar, hiking trails (50 miles), bike trails, snowmobile trailhead and trail (23 miles), swimming beaches, boat rentals, boat launches, boat mooring, orienteering course, game court.
Activities:Camping, hunting, boating (electric motors only), fishing, swimming, hiking, bicycling, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, ice skating, snowmobiling, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Park is situated in the heart of the Poconos, 1,800 feet above sea level, surrounded by 12,464 acres of the Delaware State Forest and the Bruce Lake Natural Area. It features two lakes and several small streams.
