Sagaredzho

a city (until 1962, a settlement) and administrative center of Sagaredzho Raion, Georgian SSR. Located 58 km east of Tbilisi and 2 km from the Sagaredzho railroad station on a branch of the Tbilisi-Baku line. Sagaredzho has a food-processing industry, including a winery, a cannery, and a milk plant. It produces brick and roofing materials, and it has a tire-repair plant. There is a museum of local lore in Sagaredzho.
