Urmary

an urban-type settlement and the administrative center of Urmary Raion, Chuvash ASSR. Urmary has a railroad station on the Kanash-Sviiazhsk line, 78 km southeast of the city of Cheboksary. Industry includes a furniture factory, a poultry processing combine, a butter factory, and a lime plant. Bricks are produced in Urmary.
